Baby Olive's First Party

This weekend I had the honor of hosting a baby shower for one of my dearest friends and her husband. They found out earlier this year that they are happily starting their family with a baby girl - Olive, due October 29th.

Tanna has had a relatively easy pregnancy and she was beaming on Saturday when friends and family from near and far came over to my house for the occasion. We even skyped with her mother in law so that she could witness Tanna's excitement as she opened their gifts that were shipped to my house throughout the week. The party was planned down to the last detail and I was happy that the guests felt the same.

Note: If you've never worked with streamers, it's difficult to get them to look like this (with outside winds included):

The food spread was plenty and the weather was perfect. We played two games at Tanna's request - Guess Mommy's Tummy Size and the Attribute Game - where guests pick from a list which attributes Tanna wants for baby to take on between her and her husband's traits. The person with the most matches wins! Tanna's dad didn't play, but he ended up being the person who guessed 14/14 correctly. He may have an unfair advantage!

Wishing Tanna and Baby Olive a wonderful last 7 weeks as one. I can't wait to be a fun aunt to little miss Olive!

You did an amazing job! Thank you so much for putting together such a wonderful celebration for Baby Olive! I was very impressed with your streamer skills! I never know what to do with the things, but you found lots of creative ways to use them!
