#501

I didn't know it at the time, but Friday was the 500th post published to JumpingJE.

Reason 147 why I'm a bad, boring, no-good uninvested Lifestyle Blogger.

Maybe this photo that showcases my ability to hold-something-pretty-in-front-of-me can bring me back into good graces with you guys, but probably not because I clearly didn't use any of your nail tips before Friday when I picked these tulips from my yard.

To be honest, sometimes I'm not sure why I'm here lifestyle blogging or what those 500 posts have even been "about". I'm sure you feel the same way when you visit JumpingJE. Do I have a genre? Do bloggers come to read because I read their pages and we're all just being nice, or are bloggers even my main audience?

Sometimes I play this game called "Forget to Social Media" and neglect to add my blog link on my Facebook page. It's honestly just a miss on all the boxes to check when I publish, but gives me some insight to my readers. Many of you aren't bloggers! So why do you come back every day if I don't even know what I'm writing about most of the time?

This blank page I stare at each and every day is intimidating.

My original and ongoing vision of this space has always been to share what I'm passionate about. To allow my passionate attitude to guide my content so that you can be inspired too. Isn't this my corner of the internet that I should be proud of? Not just a blogger.com address that takes up five minutes of your day to cure boredom or whatever purpose I serve in your world. That's what Buzzfeed is for.

This blank page should be filled with more wonderful things I love. Fitness, clean eating, loving myself, teaching you how to love yourself, how to show confidence, adventuring, travel, Portland, music, family.

Those are the things I'm passionate about. My blog should reflect that.

What do you want to see me write more of? Why do you keep coming back to read? What do you think my last 500 posts have been "about".

Oh, and how was your weekend?

to be honest, the blogs i always read and keep on my feeder are ones just like yours - random! things you like, random thoughts, fitness (obvs) and just about you. niche blogs (fashion, makeup etc)...not my jam. i dont even follow those and once in a while is ok but all day, errday? nope, those wont be added to my reader.

so keep doing what you're doing!

I seconded Kathy's comment, keep doing what you are doing, girlie!

I enjoy reading your blog because you are real, enjoy life, have a fabulous attitude and introduce me to another part of our country.

Your past posts have been about you, your life, finding your place in this world and some awesome inspiration! Love reading your blog and love you!

Congrats on 500 posts! I'm a lifestyle blogger too and sometimes I want to fit myself into nice little boxes and it just doesn't work. I have so many different things I like posting about! Honestly, I love coming to read your blog because you are so open and honest in your blog! I feel like I really get to know you through your posts.

I cant speak for everyone, but I come here every day because I consider you one of my internet friends :) I like to read random tidbits about your life and what you have going on. Now and then you throw some fitness or whatever my way and I like that too! Just keep being you friend! Have a great week!

I read because you are a real live human person, and a good one at that, and your posts are always reflective of that. They're emotional and real and I feel like I have a real sense of the person typing them out. And that's a person I would really love to be friends with. Congrats on 500. Keep it up :)

I've always loved your blog. That's why I come here. I think you speak from a place of honesty which is really rare in blogland. Believe me, I wouldn't come here if I didn't think that!

I think as long as you're writing about what YOU enjoy, that's all that matters. This has to be fun for you otherwise it's honestly not worth the time! And so much time it takes up, ha. Congrats on 500 posts though!! :)

Like I said last week I love your theme of empowerment. I haven't read back all 500 of the posts but I think that has been what your posts were "about" since I've been reading. I like your fitness and independent woman posts as well as your daily life reads, but I guess that's the same thing :P And I agree with the other comments. You feel like a friend and your posts are like catch ups! Keep doing what you're doing!! xo

i love 'random' blogs with no niche. i have no niche. sometimes i write buzzfeed-esque posts because i enjoy it. other times i ramble on about goodness knows what, and other times i take photos of outfits. i'm not really passionate about much, so if i were to write about what i was passionate about, it would be a very blank blog. i think you need to make yourself happy!

I'm glad you and I discovered each other in this blog world not too long ago! Your writing always engages me, no matter what you're talking about! :)

You keep it real and tell it how it is. That is what keeps me coming back for more. I loved your fitness workout videos to bangin jams as well!

Like a lot of others have said, I've enjoyed reading so far because your writing is real and engaging. You seem to talk about whatever you want, whenever you feel like talking about it - nothing is forced or fake and I appreciate that. I would love to read more about any and all of the things you're passionate about :)

I like that we get to know you and see you and enjoy your humor and groan when something icky happens and SEE YOU. I'd say, keep up the good work! No stress. :)

That's funny you write this, because I was just asked today what my blog was about and I said .... "Me...." Because it is! But that's what's fun about lifestyle blogs - you're not confined to one specific topic. Love your bloggy no matter what you write about :-)

Write what's in your heart. You're a fun, honest, smart woman. I like reading your blog because you're genuine and original and intelligent and an athlete.

PS - 500? Crap! I'm at 49 and I thought I was bad ass. I'm not even a 10th of a blogger you are. Keep writing!

I vote that you keep doing what you've been doing. I love that your blog is random and I never know what to expect when I click over here. I appreciate your realness and the fact that you just do you and don't try to fit into a perfect little box when it comes to what you share or how you share it.
