Monday evening when I was driving home from the coast, I was cruising along (57 MPH on cruise control) and was blown past by a gray car going at least 90 MPH. My car rocked from the wind that passed me and I just froze thinking how awfully terrifying it would be to drive that fast.
Then I laughed because there was a cop coming in the opposite direction and they were sure to get caught up the road.
Karma.
Well, then as I was driving further I noticed a state police car a few cars back. I made sure I knocked that speed down to 56 MPH and drove snap-chat free for the next 25 miles as they trailed me.
All of a sudden the jerk-squad flipped on his lights and I pulled off to the side of the road.
It was all I could do to not laugh in the officer's face when he tried to accuse me of being the car that was driving 92 miles per hour! I told him in nicer words that he should have found a way to catch the jackass because it was dangerous. Plus, I had a great alibi because I was in sweat pants and no makeup and made the joke that I had nowhere to be.
SO with that story, it got me thinking about all of my innocent until proven guilty driving behaviors.
Enjoy.
+ If I'm at a stop light, I'll take a selfie.
+ If I'm not at a stop light I'll take a selfie.
+ If there's sun rays I'll take an epic selfie (my tongue out for people who didn't have to go to work)
....so many selfies.
+ I've had the same car for 10 years and I still love her even if she just turned 70(k)
+ The side door pocket is my garbage.... chew gum much, Jessi?
+ I've been pulled over 5 times now with no ticket/sorry mom. ***KNOCKING ON WOOD***
+ I eat way too much in the car (because I spend 2 hours per day in there) but I'm working on it - like with these berries!
I am more likely to be caught driving under the speed limit than over the speed limit. Call me weird.
That's all for today, hope you enjoyed and don't criticize me too much on my "garbage".

I do most of these. Except I drive crazy fast ... whoops
I just wanted to let you know I nominated you for a Liebster Award - http://jeansandatiara.blogspot.com/2014/04/liebster-award.html . I used to do the same thing when I drove two hours a day! Except I accidentally killed my car when I decided to eat a salad. Lmao never again!!!
The epic selfie! Haha. And my side door pocket is my garbage, too! It used to be the rest of my car, so I'm not judging you! I have gotten out of so many tickets, and I'm afraid to have even admitted that in fear I just jinxed myself!
i stuff my garbage into the door jam too and my husband hates it! i tried to use one of those mini garbage things but it kept tipping over and spilling the garbage all over the floor so back to door jam garbage bin we go.
no selfies for me; i prefer to text and check email at stop lights (even though it's against the law here)

2 hours in your car daily! Eek! I used to do that too now I'm 10 minutes away and love it! Lol
haha epic story, glad you got out of the ticket. i haven't been so lucky in the past :/
What a great story...i love the alibi, haha!
I'm a speed racer, I drive way too fast!
Oooops!
cosign on the side door situation- the other day I let someone borrow my car and they cleaned out the door for me and I was soo embarrassed. Annnd can you do a post on how NOT to get a ticket?! haha
Here in Germany so road don't have speed limits so you can drive as fast as you want. I'm also lucky to never have got a speeding ticket or a ticket in general.
I seriously get panic attacks when there is a cop car behind me...hate it and so happy that I don't have to drive that much anymore!! I am loving all your selfies and wish I was on snap chat to get them haha!
You're going to hate my post today.
I'm the queen of getting out of tickets! But I hate driving, like really hate it after having a 3 hour commute each day before I moved. Now I just had road rage on my 2 mile commute.
I'm a speed racer unless I have no time to be somewhere and there's nobody behind me. That's usually not very often. Ooops! What's your secret for getting out of tickets?
i absolutely do the garbage side door. no selfies though. but at home, you will get pulled over going 5 kms over the limit, so i was very careful, and there are speed cameras and red light cameras. but since living in KY i have definitely gotten more relaxed (even though i might technically not have a US drivers license) and one time I got caught speeding and thank the jeepers my hubby's best friend is a cop and he got me out of it. ever since then, i'm all about the careful and slow, not just to avoid tickets. not worth my life!
I am always taking stop light/stop sign selfies too, trying to capture the eyeshadow or lipstick shade I used for the day. It never works haha. I have a major lead foot, but I've not had a ticket. Knock on wood!
I'm guilty of stuffing garbage in the side door pocket too!
My fiance is guilty of putting his chewed gum in the middle console. GROSS! I seriously don't get why he does this. I come into the car and find hard pre-chewed gum beside the gear shifter.
LOL...I use the side door for trash too and my husband hates it. He see it and is like omg what are you doing with this, and I say just waiting for you to clean it out for me :)
My ENTIRE car is my trash can! haha
And my car is 14-year-old. She's a fucking SOLDIER dammit!
Hey Jess!! Omg I use that side storage for my gorbage too lol!! Its filled with wrappers and junk mail! I swear I though I was the only one haha, gorgeous pics by the way :D Juust be careful!! XOXOXOX

You've had your car for 10 years and you just hit 70K?? My car is 6 years old and I am at almost 94K! Sucks when you live 39 miles from work...one way.
I have a little mini car trash can that hangs off my PRND stick (whatever it is called) and it is fulled with quest bar wrappers. That is what I eat in the afternoons on my way home haha.
hahaha omg he pulled you after THAT long??? Douche
getting pulled over is the scariest. i always freak out. but i don't remember the last time i took a car selfie. i should change that.
I've been pulled over 5 times & have gotten 3 tickets...
I'm totally guilty of red light selfies/snapchat/texting/social media .... but hey it's a red light right?!
your driving selfies are hilarious! this is one post i can't relate to! i actually don't drive -i have my license but i've only driven enough to pass the test and have it as a back up if ever need to get behind the wheel. call me crazy, aint my cup of tea haha
never stop with the car selfies. they're my favorite.
also your mom is cooler than you.
I'm eating blackberries as I read this! I have on;y been pulled over once, and also no ticket. I was more freaked out than I should have been. Also you are a great selfie taker... all of mine look the same!
that is where all my gum wrappers hangout too!!!! also just get caught taking selfies and get a ticket. ps. remember that time the high school kids scolded you from the other car for being on your phone!
Haha LOVE the selfies! Too cute! I always love when the lighting is perfect too! The rays make the best pics! I always throw stuff in the pocket of my door too. What else did they make it for?!?

I'd take more selfies if they turned out half as good as yours, I'm a selfie failure.
That is a lot of gum wrappers! Wow!
I've gotten out of all of my tickets too, thank goodness.
Happy hump day!!
okay this is hilarious! and seriously WOW--great job getting out of all of those tickets!!
I swear can you teach me how to do the car selfies like I just don't get it! I know my arm is long enough but they never come out right! I mean I'm crazy neurotic when I drive no texting and no selfies....so it's usually when I'm parked so like I really have no excuse! That sun selfie is epic I totally agree!
Your car is 10 years old and it only has 70K miles on it??? How is that even possible with all the driving you do???
I was just going to say the same thing as Kasey! My car is 10 years old and I'm up to 150K... whoops! I'm shocked I haven't gotten a speeding ticket yet... although living in Chicago, there aren't really speed limits, everyone just drives at whatever the speed of traffic is at the moment haha
wow you seem to have the luck pulled over and no ticket, keep it up and yah put down the phone and make sure those selfies don't get you a ticket i don't know how much they are in oregon but here they start at $156...
I never speed; my favorite phrase is, "I can't afford a ticket." Seriously, you have to pay the ticket and then pay extra for insurance premiums. NO THANK YOU. I ain't got nowhere to go fast so pass my ass. But 70,000 miles on a 10 year old car?! That's good! My car is 7 years old and it now has over 100,000.
I'm the same way with my side door and it being a mecca for all things trash. It's pretty bad, and I've got a thing for leaving cups in ALL my cup holders and getting Starbucks and not having a place to sit the cup. #thestruggle lol

I don't drive (no car/commuter), so maybe that's why I never have any selfies?! But my bf has a car and uses the whole thing as a garbage can-- he's going to freakout when he finds out I just cleaned it out! A lil trash in the door is cool, but the whole thing? It was driving me nuts!
I don't have gum wrappers but I do have about six empty cans of diet coke floating around my car!
I love this! I'm so the opposite. I can never get mad when I get a ticket because I've most likely deserved it 20 times over!
Your car is a baby still!!! I manage to put 70k on a car in two years. I envy your lack of driving =)
