Things I Learned This Sunny Weekend

Happy Monday, friends!

It's time for another fantastic round of "Things I Learned this Weekend" and I'm so extremely thrilled about it because it's now become an actual link up with miss Katie Qué

I'm excited because I only just found her recently through Brooke and I'm already loving how she talks about one of my favorite dating and reading topics - "Ghosting". Also notably called the 'Slow Fade" and the "Phase Out" by some other wise souls, ghosting is when you are dating someone and all of a sudden they disappear. Poof - out of your life, no text message to ever be answered again, no instagram photo to ever be double tapped. I've done this several times and been the victim of it as well - let me tell you a story....

Wait, this post isn't about ghosting - it's about things I learned this weekend! Sorry, you'll have to wait for story time.

+ It's not weird to buy a deck chair and read in the sun in your driveway all weekend.

+ Meal prep is effective on Saturdays too.

+ Daily To-do lists are my new jam.

+ I'm great at keeping a food journal at work.
+ I'm horrible about it at home.
+ Positive energy attracts positive people. I'm thankful.
+ I drink more water when it's warm outside (I just called 65 degrees warm, deal with it).

+ Spring pedicures are more fun than winter pedicures.
+ I need better sunscreen if the weather is going to be like this again next weekend.
+ I described myself as an "outgoing introvert"and love how accurate that really is.
+ Wait, the Masters happened this weekend? Who won?
+ My blog game is more on-point than I though it was, take the test for yourself!

And that's a wrap, some pretty solid lessons right? Are you going to link up next week?

Ohh love the "outgoing introvert" term; fairly certain I fall right into that category! And really, I swear water just tastes better when it's warm outside!

Sounds like a fabulous weekend lady! I agree, spring/summer pedis are so much more fun. I'm rocking some SERIOUS neon pink on my toes, just because it's warm outside.

Way to go meal planning, woop woop!

I was following your weekend adventures and workouts on instagram - seriously looked like a perfect weekend!! It's totally acceptable to spend the majority of your weekend in said deck chair and get some sun!! Happy Monday doll!

I love your outdoor reading set-up complete with smoothie and water! Also so jealous that 65 is warm for you. That would be cool and perfect here but this year we went from winter to humid 78 degrees - where is my pretty springtime and patio weather?

it's cool to hang on your driveway if you're quiet; it's not cool if you're anything like my asshole neighbours who carry on with their loud-mouth assholery into the night when people are trying to sleep!!!

Bubba Gump....I mean Watson ;-) I need a pedicure so badly it's embarrassing. However I did my mani and didn't want to mess that up....I really need to do them at the same time. Your meal planning #likeaboss

Oh my gosh.... I didn't know they have those chairs in our size! We got a tiny one for Mia (it's totally her favorite) and I must get one for myself to match!
What a great weekend, girl!

Spring pedicures > winter pedicures, FACT. Yay for spending time in the sun this weekend!

Love the deck chair/ drive way set up!

I wouldn't read in my driveway, because then too many annoying neighbors would come over and interrupt my reading time. Backyard it is!

you are right spring pedicures are more fun than winter, who see your winter pedicure anyways? no one besides you and your slippers that is about it

Outgoing introvert is so true though!! There are definitely times where I just want to be really sociable and be around people. But I really love my alone time with a good book or my Hulu queue!

Your to-do app is cute, what is it? I need to start making to-do lists and actually getting it done. Meal prep sounds nice, it would definitely help this whole get healthy thing I have been wanting to do. Ha ha. I need to stop talking about it and start doing it. Ugh.

I was having a bit of "back from vacation blues" over the weekend, but it helped that it was 70 degrees and sunny. I did anything to be outside...even scooped up literally two groceries bags full of dog crap that we avoided doing all winter long! Eww, TMI???
