Derby Dress and a Buzzer Beater

Today's going to be short and sweet because I learned a lot this weekend and I want to make sure you absorb it all. I'm also a little short today because I procrastinated on blog writing all weekend and can't stay up past my bedtime to do any better. It's a busy work week and I won't be celebrating Cinco de Mayo because I'm a responsible adult or at least I pretend to be.

+ I learned that all of my Facebook friends are Blazer fans.

+ I learned to never trust Slingbox because it cut out on the last 5 minutes of Friday's Game 6. I missed the buzzer-beater shot that sent the Portland Trailblazers into Round 2 of the playoffs for the first time in 14 years.

+ Names of derby horses can only be 18 characters long (includes spaces and punctuation)

+ A dress that's been in my closet forever that I LOVE and have never worn was a big Instagram / Facebook hit for derby day. I've aways thought I'd get made fun of in this dress because in case you didn't know, it's not the 1940's - but love the way it fits me.

+ I need a bigger mirror and non-yellow hallway lighting (mom/dad?)

+ Taking a photography class does not make me a photographer.  (Hey look, there's Brooke!)

+ I learned that it's never too late to give or receive a Christmas gift - especially one this cute.

Alright, that's enough for me from this weekend - are you linking up with Katie today?

Happy Cinco de Mayo!

haha girl I watch every playoff game (although my team isn't in it)so I saw the buzzer beater ... Kobe used to do that all the time. I'm a Carmelo fan so my team is the Knicks.
Also the dress is gorg but I kinda get what you mean by 1940's. I'm funny with dresses that reach to my knee. You totes rock it though!

That dress is perfect! I love finding gems like that! I learned this weekend that children suck all the time out of your life and you don't get a chance to write any blog posts for the week....yeah that happened lol

That dress is super cute!! We have a big mirror in our new house- but it's not nearly big enough to take an outfit pic...AND it's in like the darkest part of the house. Lame.

My husband is from Portland, so he was pretty happy with that game. I'm from Indy, so I'm glad the Pacers went to the second round, too. Win, win!

Love that dress! I'm the same way with the mirror situation.. awkward angle and bad lighting!
