Some of you have been following me for a while now and know that I went through a rough breakup in February that I thought was the end of my happiness. The hardest part of breaking up was realizing that he was never mine. That I'd been living in an illusion and my truth was laced with lies. From the point of break up, it took a month of "fading away" before we finally realized that silence was better.
Little did I know that the decision we made to part ways for good would be the BEGINNING of my happiness. My true and honest sitting-alone-in-a-dark-and-silent-room and busting with joy happiness. I cut the "crap" out of my life and have been on a mission for the last 70 days of 'sobriety' to discover who I am, do things that make me happy and seek out the same passion and positivity in the people around me.
With that, I give you my Week 10, Day 70 of freedom favorites!!
Favorite Day:
Tuesday kicked butt.
I had a happy day at work, got some great news, hit a good workout, saw a friend and dealt her some of my secret breakfast ammo - AND didn't have a Cinco de Mayo hangover.

Favorite Act of Passive-Aggression:
So I don't grab my mail from the mailbox every day. If we're being honest it's probably only once a week. For the first time ever, my mailman decided to seize. all. of. my. mail. and said that I could pick it up at the local post office.
You know, the post office that closes at 5pm which is earlier than I get home most weekdays. Guys, it wasn't even that much mail.

Favorite Inspirational Video:
I got this video from one of my challengers in my fitness accountability group on facebook and was literally brought to tears. Mainly because of the positive and "we can do this" confidence of a mother and daughter duo who gave it 100 days to lose weight.
Think they're satisfied? Think again!

Favorite Meal:
I can't even tell you how good this was - you just need to try it yourself. Ditch the shells, lettuce cups are so much better!
All you need is ground turkey, romaine lettuce, taco seasoning and salsa!
(shameless real camera photography practice)
And hey, while you're looking for something to do at work today you should go check out my friend Marisa. She's normally got oh-my-god-you're-making-me-drool recipes on her blog, but today she's switching it up and wants you to get sweaty with her. That's my kinda girl!!

What a passive aggressive rude man. Not fun! :(
Those lettuce wraps are bombdotcom!
Happy Friday friend!
Mailmen can do that?? Seriously? Thats insane and would happen to me every week if they did that here because I cant be bothered or forget to check every day. Love how you call is passive aggression ... :D
Also That video is the best!
Hahaha... I've been the same way with my mail lately! The pathetic thing is, it's right at the end of our stairs... so I literally pass it every.single.time. I go in/out. It's usually just ads and shit though... so, why bother?!
need some lettuce wraps in my life, they look devine. And wow hey postman, take your ego and shove it.
I can't watch the video due to i'm out of the United State. Congrats to the mother and daughter team.
I love checking the mail. I check my US Po Box and few times a week and my house mail box every day.
I hope you have a great weekend.
What a jerk of a mailman! I will never have that problem. My FIL is obsessed with checking the mail and somehow Andrew also inherited that trait. It's bizarre. Glad you had a great week and are enjoying your sobriety!
Sounds like you are doing great. Except for that grumpy mailman! ;) Happy Friday!
Mailmen think they have all the power! I can't believe he just seized your mail like that!!
what the shit, stupid post man. how rude! tuesday sounds fabulous, do share the good news with your readers ;) that mother daughter duo - freaking awesome. i really want to try lettuce thingys now, but without meat. haha!
I had no idea the mailman could do that - how is that legal!? Love me some lettuce tacos!! Hope you have a great weekend!

That video is SO awesome! It's really encouraging to see people achieving their fitness and health goals! Thanks for sharing that.
All you gotta do is add some sliced avocado on top of those lettuce wraps and that's a perfect meal! ;)
AH thank you for the surprise shout out! Got sweaty and even have the #flexfriday snapchat to prove it. Thanks for the love and happy weekend my dear!
I never check my mailbox either. I'm waiting for the day my mailman decides to be a dick and hold my mail at the post office.
Happy Friday!
so that video is super fabulous and my favorite part was when they were boxing and the daughter gets a secret last kick in haha
fuck yo mailman. those paleo tacos look amazing. im going to make them for me and my roommate next week. WHOOOOOOOP
Haha, I used to do that with my mail too- all I ever get is junk. Kudos to 70 days!
Yay for 70 awesome days of happiness!! I think my mail lady is nicer than your mail man, if we get too much mail she gives us a bin and sets it all by the front door. What a jerk for seizing your mail! That lettuce deal does look mighty tasty :D
I think we should box, Jessi ... What a great post. I love your strength!
Mmmmmmm lettuce wraps! So good!!
Those are some sexy photography skills. ;) I'm so happy for you.
I feel like I could just eat that lettuce wrap right off the screen!!!
I don't have an excuse to not check my mail...my drive way isn't that long. That mailman is rude though! Like dude, wait until it is a crap ton before you just take it all!
Yay for happiness!
Oh yum!! These lettuce wraps are the best! :)

I understand about the break up. My ex and I broke up back in April of 2012 (for the second time) but we remained friends (he was my best friend) but in February we stopped talking completely. It hurt like hell at first. But three months later, I am SO much happier without that lying douche in my life. I'm glad that you're feeling better about your break up too. Neither of us deserves to have liars/cheaters in our lives.
Lettuce Wraps please!Yum!!
So glad you're better then ever after your breakup!
And seriously… I need to make those taco lettuce fabulousness now!
I thought I was sick of Mexican after eating it like 5 times last week... but those lettuce wraps have me drooling!
Ok where do I even begin.
1. The breakup. I could talk to you for hours about this topic. A devastating breakup can be the absolute best thing that's ever happened to you. I learned that more that once.
2. He took your mail?! BRAT.
3. Neeeed that meal. It's genius and I'll be making it asap.
I check my mail every day even though most days I don't have anything. I just stop as I'm driving into my apartment complex to jump out quick. If I waited until after I parked my car chances are I would be like you and check the mail less frequently.
What kind of fitness accountability group is it? Are you the leader?
