Weekend Learnings

Good day and happy June!

This is going to be a crazy month and I don’t even know what to be the most excited about. If I had to choose right now what’s the best it’s being one month closer to Melissa’s mid-July visit (ahhhhh!!!). Blogger date to the max!

If this weekend is an indicator of the good things to come then I’m pretty dang excited about it. I continue to fill my heart’s lil’ love tank with all of the things that matter most - like family, friends and time well spent on myself.

Since school's almost out for all the kiddo's I must share what I learned this weekend with Katie!

+ Saturday I went for a run (less than a mile) to the park to see if I could do pull-ups. What I learned was that I can jump up then do one additional - but after that I’m spent.

+ The park is a great place on a sunny day to do a circuit workout because when you’re taking selfie breaks you can people watch.

+ Road trips to weddings are great sister bonding opportunities.

+ My favorite weekend activity has quickly become sitting out in the driveway with a book, music and a smoothie.

+ Writing the week’s posts on the weekend is also my new jam - this weekend the flow happened while driving south to my beautiful cousin’s wedding.

+ When in doubt, always instagram a puppy photo.

+ Always always always take allergy medication June through August. No exceptions.

I’m one week older and one week smarter - what about you guys?

pullups are hard! took me months to be able to do them and i can only do like, 5. i started with assisted pullups using a chair and over time, i move that chair farther and farther away from the bar.

I love working out at the park - we have like 4 within a mile radius so it's a great alternative to the gym!! Going to need that smoothie recipe - looks delish!! Happy Monday doll!

Love your sister ;) She's the cutest thing ever crawling over you. Also you can do pullups and that in itself is bloody awesome.

I write my posts the night/evening before and schedule them for 12 am. I really need to do some beforehand.

Pull ups are hard! You should see me trying to do one, it's rather comical. No matter how hard I kick my legs it doesn't help. I'll figure that out one day.
My allergies have been easing up lately, thank goodness.
Sounds like you had a great weekend!!

your sister are super cute. I was doing good with taking my allergy pills. Then told myself I would be fine without them. Well today I find out I was just lying to myself.

Your sister is just about the cutest thing ever! I've been struggling lately with not having a spot at my apartment to sit in a chair in the sunshine (I don't have a yard) but I think I'll try out my own driveway! Thanks for the great idea!

I don't have a driveway but I will head to the beach or park and sit with a book. A yard would be so much more convenient!
